David Is Back!

Hello everyone! I have some exciting news for ya. My little brother David got back from his 2 year mission to Tijuana Mexico on Monday! Jake and I are currently with him and the rest of the family hanging out in California. I was able to fly into the Sacramento airport a few hours before David (aka Elder Ainsworth) arrived. My parent's and I wore sombreros, had balloons, and a huge sign that said "Welcome Home Elder Ainsworth". His flight was a little late so we stood in the airport looking ridiculous for an unnecessary long time. We got many looks from spectators ranging from positive to not so positive. Finally someone came down the escalator from a flight and asked us if we were waiting for the young man that was returning from 2 years in Mexico....that is when I lost it. I don't think I've cried so much in utter happiness since the day Jake and I got married. Soon after, my mom lost it too. David looked so handsome in his suit. And the best part is that he doesn't seem all awkward and wierd like most RM's. He seems just like the David (to quote from Jake) "we threw into the MTC 2 years earlier". It has been so much fun catching up with him and hearing all the mission stories he couldn't write home about. The only difference I recognize is his maturity. Right now he has a lot of mixed emotions. He is happy to be home with family and friends, but he was really sad to leave. He is probably the only missionary I know who wishes he could have served for 3 years. Which just goes to show what an amazing individual he is. I am so glad he's finally home. *The picture above is our first hug in 2 years*

Baby Ultrasound 25 Weeks

Yesterday Jake and I got to see our little girl again. When we had our gender ultrasound last month she was positioned in such a way that we couldn't get a good profile view of her for a picture. She was cooperative this time. I am 25 weeks pregnant in this ultrasound. It's hard to believe there are only about 15 weeks left until she is born! 9 months seemed like it would take forever, but time has flown by.

Babysitting and Better Bump Picture

Yesterday my sister-in-law Rashell dropped off two of her children at my place so that I could watch them while she took her oldest child to get back to school pictures. I absolutely love babysitting for her because my little nieces and nephew are adorable and I just love them. While I was changing little Daniel's diaper Leah brought a picture of her that was on the fridge and said "Look Geshin, its a picture of me doing this", which was followed by a reenactment of the monkey face Jake taught her how to do. I couldn't help but take another picture of her and the cutest monkey face attempt ever. She then went back to the fridge and brought a picture of her older sister Kiah and said "Geshin, this is my favorite of Kiah." Could she be anymore adorable?


Daniel was smiling a lot while I was playing with him on the floor, but of course every time the camera flashed the smile quickly turned to something else, but he of course still looked just precious.

Below is a picture of "the bump" at 24+ weeks because I didn't like the one posted earlier. Rashell mentioned that my baby bump at 6 months looks like hers at 3. Which I took as a compliment despite the fact that I really really want to show more.

23 Weeks!

It was pointed out to me that I haven't posted an updated baby bump picture in a while. So I took one today. It didn't turn out that great...but you get the idea that the bump is growing. The baby is now 11 inches long and weighs over a pound! She continues to be very active. Her movements are so strong I can see my tummy move as a result of her. Something really sweet happened on Sunday....The baby wasn't moving very much but then her daddy (aka Jake) got up to bear his testimony and the little thing got so excited to hear his voice and started moving around a ton. I thought it was really cute how she's already showing signs of being a daddy's girl.

Ten years ago, I was...
13 years old. That would be the summer before 8th grade. I was probably at some sort of soccer camp or practices by now. I believe that was also the summer I was put in the advanced performance class at my dance studio...so I was trying to learn all the dances and catch up to the other girls.

Five things on my to-do list...
1. Clean out and organize the closets so there is room for baby stuff.
2. Get ready for work.
3. Go to the gym with my hubby after work.
4. Read Eclipse to get ready for the release of Breaking Dawn on Saturday!! Wooohooo!
5. Finish watching So You Think You Can Dance!

A snack I enjoy...
I LOVE ice cream, perhaps the best thing ever invented. I also like apple slices dipped in caramel. Ooooo....wheat thins and string cheese is also tasty. Did I mention granola and yogurt? Pretty much I like many many snack foods.

Things I would do if I were a millionaire...
I would buy a house and a bigger car for the family...like a Suburban or something. We would pay for Jake's medical school and help purchase a practice when he finished. Put money away for our daughter's college fund and invest. Maybe go on vacation to somewhere by a beach. It would also be fun to buy a boat.

20 Weeks!!

Wow, It is hard for me to believe but yesterday I was officially 20 weeks pregnant. Our little girl is quite the active little thing. I feel her move very frequently and each time I can't help but smile. Both my mom and Jake were able to feel her move as well. It is so fun to realize that there really is a little person in there. We can't wait to meet her! I'm glad we still have 20 weeks to prepare, there is still so much more to do to get our home ready for her!

I don't think this picture does the baby bump justice...it seems so much bigger to me, haha.

The Lovely Extended Stay

As I stated in a previous post, my parent's were able to come to Utah for a quick weekend visit. They arrived on July 5th and left on July 8th. They were in town for Daniel's baby blessing and my gender ultrasound, which were all wonderful =) When my parent's left on Tuesday the 8th they didn't realize how bad the fire was near Paradise. In one day it grew from a few thousand acres to over 30,000 acres. For those of you who don't know, my mom is very allergic to smoke, and when they reached Nevada on their way home, it became apparent that it wasn't safe for my mom to continue the journey home. So to my pleasant surprise she hopped on a train and headed back to Utah to stay with Jake and I!

It was so much fun having her stay with us for almost a week (she left on Weds night). She is an amazing roommate and we hope she comes back to stay more often=) While she was here we had a lot of girl fun filled with manicures, shopping, yummy food, picnics, and a trip to the movies to see Get Smart! On Monday night we got together with my brother Ronnie and his family and enjoyed a lovely picnic in the beautiful park near our home. I took a few pictures of our fun with their family when we got back to our place.

My sister-in-law Rashell was nice enough to go through her baby clothes (she had 2 girls and just recently a little boy) and gave Jake and I 3 HUGE boxes full of clothes, blankets, bibs, and shoes for ages newborn to 9 months. She also gave me a ton of very adorable maternity clothes. It is so wonderful having a sister-in-law who was not only blessed with so many girls, but who is kind enough to share with us the cute things she collected over the years. My other sister-in-law offered their baby crib to us, which is also very generous. Jake and I are so grateful for the generosity of our family and we don't know where we'd be without them. Both our parent's are also the epitome of generosity. Thanks family! We feel so blessed!

Kiah is such a good big sister to her baby brother.

Poor uncle Jake was the horsey for a while. Not sure what the facial expression on Jake's face means.....pure bliss maybe?

Our nieces are hilarious. My favorite was about a week earlier when little Leah wanted to feed the ducky's at the park. We were at the park and had just eaten Chinese food....she opened up her fortune cookie and said it as though reading it "Go feed the ducky's....ok!" And then she walked off with her cookie to the pond.

Apparently the horse didn't like to be squished.
