What?! Your kidding right? Our baby is 18 months old...a toddler...a little girl. Time flies, and we are enjoying every minute of this beautiful and precious girl.
What is Hannah up to you may ask? Well let me tell you a little about our growing girl.
She is such a talker! When she's not doing her adorable gibberish she is constantly surprising us with her ever increasing repertoire of words.
New Words
Der-he-ih = there he is
Gah-ih = got it
Duh Gee = Ducky
Bur = Bird
Baby = cutest word ever, she said it for the first time on April 29th when she was holding her baby
Mimi
Papa
Pooh
Bucka Buh = Uncle B = Jake's brother Brandon
Tanks = Thanks, she says this when she asks for something and we give it to her
Uh huh = says this while nodding yes
Nuh uh = usually accompanied by shaking her head
Nuh Nuh Nuh Nuh = No no no no which she says while shaking her finger vigorously at us
Caw = Car
Nana = Banana
Shuhsies = Shoesies and fishies
see = when she wants to give or show us something she will hold it up to us and say "see"
Ca ca = poopy, she said this the first time while Jake was changing her poopy diaper. Niether of us have ever used that word with her before. It is so funny cuz she says it in a whisper and loves to say it because it always makes us laugh.
Started making animal noises
Dog: She barks and pants every time she see's a dog in a book or in person
Snake: She has the cutest hiss
Duck : She says "Ca Ca"
Frog: "Reh beh"
Other skills
She loves to shake hands.
Just a couple of weeks ago started giving high fives.
Loves to run, slide down slides, and play with children (especially older children)
Loves to read. She read's by herself, loves to be read to, and if I am reading a book she will come over and point to a line and say some gibberish out-loud as if she is reading it too.
Loves shoes. She is constantly playing with our shoes and putting them on her feet. If I mention shoes she will find her "shuhshies" and take them to this stair by the door and wait with her foot up for me to put them on.
Recently starting climbing on everything! Now her reach has quadrupled in size.
Has developed quite the little attitude and rolls her eyes at us on occasion.
She has recently developed a strong attachment to her stuffed animal dog Buster (a character from Tigger and Pooh) She takes him everywhere and constantly asks for "Buba" and will start barking and panting as soon as he is mentioned. We decided to let her sleep with him and she loves it. Yesterday she woke up a little earlier than normal and started fussing. I watched her on the monitor as she noticed Buster was there and grabbed him into a big snuggle. She then proceeded to hold him and rock him back and forth saying "buubaaaa buuuubaaa". Within a couple of minutes she was back asleep. It was beyond precious.
There is so much to love about Hannah. I love her personality and her ever increasing affection toward us. In some ways its hard to believe she has only been in our lives 18 months. Mostly because she has completed our lives in so many ways. Happy 18 month birthday princess!!
Our camera is currently in route from my parents home in California back to us so I don't have any new pictures. But posts aren't as fun without a picture so I will share this little treasure. We caught Hannah with her hand in the cookie jar (empty doughnut box)
